Seminar: Just because arranging travel seems easy, does not mean it is simple

As an industry, the travel business is probably one of the more
complex. It involves so many players, from the obvious such as hotels and
airlines, to systems that have to talk to each other in real time, with complex
inventory and prices ? not all of which are visible to the public.

It?s also full of strange acronyms: GDS, NDC, BAR, APR, Consol Fares, ITX Fares,
as well as complicated rules on what can be sold to whom, and when.
And amidst all this there is legislation to contend with, all of it there to protect
the consumer.

In this presentation, I?ll lead you through the acronyms, the industry as a
whole, what drives it and how the prices and travel options you see on the
internet arrive on your screen.
